About Us

Nestled in the foothills of the Snowy Mountains in Tumut NSW, The Cotton Merchants combine a beautiful location with extensive knowledge of design, colour and making. We provide an excellent range of fabrics, notions, haberdashery and threads. We believe in good quality tools and supply fine scissors, snips and pins. A variety of wares including lampshades, cushions and clothing complement our product range.

The Cotton Merchants distinctive style is due to the collaboration of our team of three businesswomen. Our story began with a conversation about providing a retail opportunity and support for local makers within the Snowy Mountain and Riverina districts.
